DUBAIUAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan yesterday toured the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow at Dubai World Central, held under the theme ‘The Future is Here’.

The event, running until 21st November, presents the latest breakthroughs in aviation, aerospace, and defence from national and international companies.

During his visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed engaged with exhibitors across indoor pavilions and outdoor display areas, reviewing next-generation civil and military aircraft as well as integrated air defence systems. Participating companies briefed the President on their contributions to the exhibition and the innovative technologies on display.

As part of the tour, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed attended the official unveiling of the Badr-250 (B-250), a multi-role aircraft developed by UAE-based Calidus Group. Entirely designed, developed, and manufactured by Emirati professionals, the B-250 marks a significant milestone for the national defence industry.

At the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement stand, the President was briefed on the Council’s latest initiatives aimed at advancing a robust and future-ready defence ecosystem. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed commended the progress of the national defence sector and highlighted the pivotal role of Emirati talent in fostering innovation and technological excellence.

Dubai Airshow 2025

The UAE President emphasised the Dubai Airshow’s importance as a premier international platform for collaboration across aviation, aerospace, and defence sectors. The event is recognised as a key hub for fostering partnerships, attracting innovators, and paving the way for growth opportunities within the UAE.

Upon arrival, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The leaders exchanged greetings and engaged in cordial discussions.

On the sidelines of the Airshow, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed met with Wei Yingbiao, Board Member and President of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). Discussions highlighted the Airshow’s global significance and its role in showcasing advanced technologies and systems from leading international companies.

Accompanying the President were His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; and several senior officials, marking a high-profile engagement with global aerospace and defence stakeholders.
